Hire-Sales Controller, Leeds,  £22k – £24k

 

Our Client, is looking to recruit a Hire Sales Controller to join their busy sales office based in Leeds on a full time, permanent basis.

 

You will be responsible for providing internal sales administration support, reporting to the Sales Manager.

 

Responsibilities

•         To deal directly with and selling to customers over the phone and via email, pricing against company guidelines and maximising profit conversion

•         To deal with inbound queries in a professional and friendly manner building strong customer relationships, advising on delivery dates, transport schedules and lead times

•         To generate sales opportunities through targeted telesales activity

•         To follow up on all quotations to check competitiveness and secure sales

•         To work as part of a team to deliver branch sales targets

•         Submit weekly sales activity summary and forecast for following week to line manager

•         Agree actions for following week activities and meet agreed targets

•         To prepare and present monthly reports reflecting CPM targets and measures

•         To work closely with Key Account Manager and Sales Manager and contribute to the branch Business development and sales strategy

•         To remain aware of competitor activity and pricing and report where appropriate

•         To ensure all sales leads/enquiries are followed through

•         To check equipment and stock availability and flag issues promptly

•         To ensure all transactions are carried out in accordance with company policy (Terms of business, credit checks, suspended accounts etc.)

•         To deal with customer complaints and resolve quickly and satisfactorily, report all feedback

•         To proactively call nil spend and/or dormant customers as requested by line manager

•         To provide customer with “best fit” solutions based on their requirements

•         Keeping the CRM system up to date and accurate with customer data

•         To communicate all back orders and delayed orders to customers at the earliest opportunity

•         To maintain an agreed volume of outbound calls, promoting all product ranges and services to maximise customer spend

•         To close down lost enquiries efficiently reporting on reasons for lost business

•         To ensure all additional charges are captured and billed (damages, delivery charges etc.)

•         To ensure system accuracy and customers are billed promptly and correctly

•         To ensure credits are kept to a minimum working towards zero for admin errors

•         To recommend and develop improvements for administration processes

•         To raise and report any safety issues, accidents and/or near misses promptly

 

In order to be a successful candidate you must have previous experience in B2B sales. You will be a confident and outing self-starter who has hands on approach.
