Description
We are seeking an organised, proactive, and detail-oriented Bid, Estimating & Business Development Officer to join our client in Harrogate. In this pivotal role, you will manage and coordinate all documents for bid submissions, ensuring they meet all standards.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Identifying opportunities for bid submissions
- Analysing the tender document to understand the needs of the client
- Conducting research and brainstorming key points to include in the bid
- Crafting persuasive and detailed proposals
- Liaising with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Planning bid preparation to ensure that deadlines are met.
- Liaising with other managers to agree bid details.
- Pricing projects from first principles
- Tender adjudication with Managing Director
- Post tender queries and negotiations
- Monthly valuations on successful contracts
- Liaising directly with clients, site staff and sub-contractors throughout the project
- New business development and existing account management
What we’re looking for:
- The ability to manage conflicting demands, prioritise tasks, and perform under pressure.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Advanced IT skills; some prior knowledge of CRM an advantage but not essential.
- A creative awareness of the written word, image and design.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- A collaborative mindset, coupled with the confidence to work independently.
- A personable and approachable demeanour, with excellent communication skills.
- Relevant prior experience in a similar role, ideally within property or construction
Salary on offer up to £40k + OTE
This will be a full time, office based role working 8.30am – 5pm.
