Our client, a leader in their industry is currently looking to recruit a Finance Business Support Team Leader on a full time, permanent basis.

You will be based at Head Office in Ripon, North Yorkshire working Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5pm

You will be responsible for managing a team of 10 that focus on supplier invoice processing and customer payment allocation ensuring all work is appropriately scheduled, tasks are completed accurately and to deadline.

About the role:

  • Working in a high-volume environment managing a team focused on supplier invoice processing and customer payment allocation
  • Delegating and the scheduling of tasks to ensure all completed within agreed timescales and to agreed levels of accuracy.
  • Monitor and report individual and team performance against agreed KPI’s and produce improvement plans where these are not being met.
  • Staff development, supervision and motivation, using good organisational skills to encourage the team to achieve required targets
  • To represent the team and department in relationships with stakeholders
  • Look for process improvement opportunities from identifying to implementation
  • Month end reporting

About you:

This is great opportunity to develop your career in leading their busy team. They are looking for an individual that has ideally gained at least 2 years’ experience in managing and assessing the performance of a medium sized team. This will enable you to hit the ground running in successfully leading and coordinating the team whilst managing multiple tasks and prioritisation of work.

Any experience in accounts receivables and payables would be desirable. However, this is not essential and we welcome applications from people managing a team in a customer support team leader role or from a call centre environment as we are looking for people that have experience in managing team performance against agreed KPIs.

You’ll have excellent communication skills to effectively motivate your team and liaise with key stakeholders. An organised, methodical, and forward-thinking approach will be key to success, in this role.

An intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel will be required and ideally you will have experience in using Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
