Our client is recruiting for a Goods In Leader on a full time, permanent basis!

You will play a crucial role in ensuring that all stock has been delivered on time, inspected in line with documentation and stands as the first line in quality control.

This is a highly active role, responsible for bringing in and managing the processes of our client’s Goods In department. You will need a keen eye for detail, the ability to prioritise your workload to ensure the demands of the Company are met, good communication skills, and an FLT licence is ideal, although training can be given.

Main duties include

  • Be involved in the daily control and organisation of the Goods In department.
  • Motivate the team to achieve workload targets.
  • Liaise with other warehouse departments and other stakeholders.
  • Completing delivery paperwork and updating systems where appropriate.
  • Inspect stock prior to receipt and delivery to the packing lines.
  • Complete stock takes and highlights any discrepancies.
  • Management in the movement of stock and ongoing stock rotation.
  • Management in the layout and space control of stock.
  • Loading and unloading of internal and external deliveries.
  • Assist in the training of new and temporary employees.
  • Responsible for ensuring product safety, legality and quality systems are adhered to and implemented as per relevant industry-standard including BRC.
  • Carry out other reasonable duties as required by the Company.

Requirements:

  • GCSE’s to include Maths and English at Grade C/4 above or equivalent.
  • FLT Licence (Desirable)
  • Previous warehouse and distribution experience.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the Company.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a larger team.
  • Flexibility around working hours, especially in the weeks leading to key holidays.
