Our Harrogate client are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Marketing Assistant, looking to progress their career with an experienced marketing team.

This varied role will allow you to work with both Business-to-Consumer (B2C) and Business-to-Business (B2B), across a broad mix of online and offline marketing channels. You’ll have the opportunity to gain experience working with an experienced marketing team and a number of professional marketing agencies to support objectives.

Some of your main duties will be to support the Digital Marketing Executive and Graphic Designer, working across email, website and social media, along with designing and creating content, including video and supporting in house graphic design requests.

Your key responsibilities will be to

  • Responsible for working on internal company design requests from B2B and B2C sectors to include company literature, stationary, brochures, adverts, catalogues, PowerPoints and presentations.
  • Support the Graphic Designer in creating new concepts and designs for department and ad hoc requests.
  • Support the Graphic Designer in product launch activity for the development of new collateral to support internal sales teams and customer facing materials.
  • Support the department with all digital channels, ongoing activity and associated marketing agencies and suppliers
  • Support with the management of the website, CMS, ecommerce platforms. Including content and page creation and website updates
  • Working within the marketing department to support content creation requests for all digital marketing activity.
  • Video creation for social media, website and other digital marketing activity.
  • Support and monitor company social media channels. Conduct competitor research across digital channels
  • Create engaging social media content including video and imagery.
  • Conduct email marketing activity, including monthly emails, online newsletters and promotional emails.
  • Support activity for improving You Tube channel, Google Business Listings and growing customer reviews online.
  • Promote digital webinars to various sectors.
  • Management of brand presence on partner, industry and 3rd party websites to support awareness and lead generation
  • Assist with the planning and coordination of company exhibitions, events and product launches
  • Lead marketing actions and duties in partnerships with Harrogate Town Football Club
  • Manage the product data on the company’s e-PIm (Product Information Management) platform, ensuring that the data is constantly up to date and assisting the commercial services team in disseminating data to distribution customers when required
  • Assist with taking video footage and carrying out video editing.
  • Assist with for photography and editing for internal and external communications.
  • Brainstorm with internal and external customers, inspect and approve printed pieces, provide design direction to colleagues and work efficiently under tight deadlines
  • Work alongside marketing agencies to conduct marketing activity
  • Coordinate with promotional companies, printers, external designers and ensure that they are fully aware of required deadlines
  • Ad hoc marketing admin duties


In order to be considered for this role you will be:

  • Eager to learn and develop your career in marketing
  • Passionate about marketing
  • Have the ability to use Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator to create content and edit artwork
  • Preferred but not essential experience in video, 3D graphics, motion graphics and use of After Effects and Premier Pro, or similar.
  • 1-2 years proven digital marketing experience
  • Knowledge or experience of working with marketing platforms and tools such as websites and CMS, google analytics, email platforms and Google PPC
  • Good communication skills
  • Good copywriting skills with a high standard of written English
  • Creative flair and open thinking
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team
  • Willingness to take on board constructive feedback and have a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Able to multi-task and work on various projects at any time
