Description

Our client based in Harrogate is currently looking to recruit a Part Time Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team on a permanent basis.

You will be working as part of a close-knit finance team to manage the whole purchase ledger process, from purchase orders through to invoices and reconciliation.  They provide an indispensable service to the finance team, underpinning the wider financial stability of the business through robust processes and systems.

Main Duties Key responsibilities:

  • Receiving, checking, coding and authorisation of invoices
  • Making payments via bank transfer, BACS and cheques
  • Ordering items for staff
  • Processing staff expenses
  • Setting up new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Reconciliation of credit card statements
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Banking
  • Filing invoices
  • Preparation of extra charges for pupils
  • Data entry
  • Being first point of contact for all relevant enquiries
  • Maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Reviewing systems and processes and making improvements where necessary.

Person Specification Essential:

  • Good level of numeracy (educated to GCSE including Maths and English (Grade A-C)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent customer service standards
  • Excellent organisational and admin skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Solid team working skills
  • Self-disciplined and efficient, with a flexible and proactive nature

Hours to be Monday – Friday, 9am – 1pm with a salary of £20k pro rata.
