An opportunity has become available for an experienced People Services/HR Manager to join our Harrogate based client on a full time, permanent basis.

Our client also has a Leeds office so can consider applicants for this location too.

This will be a pivotal role for the business and you will report into the director to work closely with them to support operational requirements, recruitment and growth plans.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead all recruitment activity for a number of offices across the Yorkshire region, partnering with the business stakeholders, supporting applicants through the hiring process.
  • Monitoring internal applications via the website, creating and posting engaging job adverts, interviewing prospective employees, managing the interview process, obtaining feedback and delivering offers.
  • Ensure the maintenance of accurate and concise records and reports concerning all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Recommend ideas and strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to the long-range growth of the company, implementing any new processes and procedures.
  • You will provide support and guidance to partners, managers and employees in the head office on all employee relations issues such as disciplinary, grievance, absence monitoring and performance management.
  • Maintaining the staff handbook and communicating changes.
  • Managing all leave administration including flexible working requests, performing annual background checks for staff, identifying, developing and evaluating effective sources to ensure the most qualified candidates are recruited, interviewed and selected,
  • Managing the new starter processes including background checks, right to work checks and conducting inductions for all new starters.
  • Improve and innovate the People administrative processes to become more efficient and effective, whilst supporting and providing expertise for People administration projects.
  • Maintain knowledge and ensure legislation compliance for all people administration processes, managing HR audits and making sure our People Data is in line with GDPR.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • A ‘Can-do’ attitude to every task that comes your way, making sure you do them efficiently and effectively.
  • Previous experience of managing recruitment, ideally within the healthcare sector
  • Outstanding leadership, management skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Organisation and multitasking, ensuring you delegate tasks to your team.
  • Deep knowledge of all things People Services. With previous experience of having worked within a busy, high volume HR administration function at a Team Leader or Manager level.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in spoken word and in writing.

In return, our client is offering a salary of up to £50k!
