Description

We are recruiting for a Purchasing Coordinator for our client based on the outskirts of Knaresborough.

 

The role of Purchasing Coordinator is a critical part of the procurement function, providing support across the business. You will support driving best value from the supplier base across various spend areas. This is a great opportunity to leverage your skills and expertise to drive efficiencies and innovation in our procurement process!

 

The role will involve:

 

  • Assisting the Purchasing Team with ordering stock from both UK and worldwide product supply partners
  • Analysis of stock levels including forecasting
  • Liaising with internal departments including Sales and Warehouse on upcoming product requirements
  • Ensure all orders and product requirements are logged promptly and correctly on the CRM systems with suppliers to ensure they are delivering on time
  • Communicate with Project Managers and Production to ensure they are aware of progress.
  • Bench-marking suppliers and negotiating to make sure the company gets the best possible prices and terms on needed supplies.

 

You will need highly proficient Excel skills as well as being confident on internal systems / CRM. For this role you will ideally have previous purchasing/buying experience, good communication and negotiation skills. You will have excellent attention to detail and accuracy when processing.

 

Our client can consider full time or part time hours, working on site between Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5pm, with a salary of £25k – £30k on offer.

 

Own car needed due to the location of the role.
