Supply Chain Manager

Our Harrogate based client is currently looking to recruit a Supply Chain Manager to take up a full-time position at their head office. They are looking for a manager who can build strong relationships with their internal operational departments as well as with existing and new supply chain partners, ensuring their purchased product is of high quality, good value and delivered on time.

The Manager will be accountable for managing the warehouse and procurement team and evaluating existing and new supply chain partners, negotiating prices and supply chain partnerships. For this role, you should have good knowledge of market research, along with solid analytical and financial skills.

Main Responsibilities:

• Research potential supply chain partners
• Compare and evaluate quotes/estimates from suppliers
• Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery
• Review quality of purchased products
• Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
• Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analysis

Essential Skills

• Proven work experience as a Supply Chain Manager or similar role
• Building product background and experience.
• Methodical, accurate with a strong attention to detail
• Strong people management, communication and negotiation skills to work with your team and other internal departments and our external supply chain partners
• Good knowledge of supplier sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with supply chain partners)
• Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analysis
• Confident IT skills
• Good time management skills
• Adaptable and conscientious.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £55,000 per year depending on experience
