💰 £40,000 – £45,000 basic + performance bonus

A growing and well-established business in the home improvement and property sector is looking for a Internal Sales Manager to lead a regional residential sales team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced sales leader who enjoys developing people, improving conversion performance, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

You’ll manage a team of Sales Surveyors and Customer Sales Executives, ensuring enquiries are converted into high-quality orders through strong leadership, coaching, and sales process optimisation.

The Role

As Internal Sales Manager, you will take responsibility for the regional residential sales function, leading your team to maximise enquiry conversion and deliver strong revenue growth.

You’ll play a key role in coaching the team, improving sales performance, and ensuring a seamless customer journey from initial enquiry through to order confirmation.

This role combines leadership, sales performance management, and operational oversight.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Sales Surveyors and Customer Sales Executives.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and joint field visits.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of new team members.

Sales Performance

  • Deliver regional order intake and revenue targets.
  • Monitor and optimise key conversion metrics including:
    • Enquiry → Survey
    • Survey → Order
    • Enquiry → Order
  • Drive strong follow-up discipline and pipeline management.

Customer Experience

  • Ensure customers receive a professional consultation experience.
  • Support the team with complex projects or larger opportunities.
  • Resolve customer escalations where required.

Sales Operations

  • Maintain CRM accuracy and reporting.
  • Oversee enquiry management, appointments, and quotation processes.
  • Work closely with internal teams including operations and marketing to ensure smooth order delivery.

  • Proven experience managing a sales team or regional sales function
  • Strong coaching and leadership skills
  • Experience managing sales pipelines and conversion performance
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing ability
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with both field-based and office-based teams
